Large antique mahogany chest-on-chest before and after a complete restoration. Restored for a customer in Hertfordshire. Missing fretwork matched and replaced. Missing bracket feet made up and fitted. Stripped and French Polished with wax finish. Missing drop handles and escutcheons matched and replaced, remaining brasswork cleaned and repolished.
Before and after pictures of sunbleached and water damaged early 20th-century walnut table. The blistered veneer on table top and sides were repaired. The table was fully stripped and neutralised, steamed to remove indentations, and then French Polished to achieve a colour match with undamaged middle leaf. Finally dulled down and waxed.
Antique serpentine-fronted mahogany cabinet. Treated for woodworm. Fully repaired, including rebuilding rotten feet and repairing shrinkage splits to doors and relaying all blistered veneer work. Missing veneers matched and replaced. Stripped and completely repolished.
